The Bull on Bell Street is set in the heart of Henley on Thames, packed full
of history, scrumptious dishes and a range of distinctive drinks.

The Bull is an ideal spot for a good old chin-wag. With two roaring fireplaces, traditional leather sofas and heritage style arm chairs. Expect a relaxing atmosphere with some seriously good lattes, a delightful selection of teas and more than a few alcoholic beverages to tickle your pickle.
2. History Buff
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a history buff then how does a 700 year old building sound? The Bull used to be a fully functioning brewery, supplying local pubs and inns with characteristic ales and invigorating beers. Brewing at 65 Bell Street, took place where the garden come courtyard is today and it was here that Brakspear Bitter was first created in 1769 by nineteen year old William Henry Brakspear. 3. The Busy Bar
The lengthy bar is absolutely chockablock from Friday night to all weekend long. The Bull is quite the favourite among the locals of Henley and the surrounding villages and towns. Come Friday early evening, expect to find a bustling atmosphere filled with hard-working business peeps winding down from their hectic weeks, couples of all ages on date night & friends meeting up for dinner and drinks. And what’s more, during weekends The Bull stays open till the early hours of the morning and is always one of the last place to close in Henley.
4. There’s a Micro Brewery
Have you ever wondered what a micro-brewery looks like? Well take a gander over to us and have a cheeky look to find out. With our own micro-brewery at the far end of the restaurant, brewing Brakspears’ cask ales in a stylishly buffed copper distillery behind a large display window.

The Bull on Bell Street has a delightfully quaint yet spacious garden courtyard which becomes quite the suntrap during spring and summer! With various outdoor seating, electric heaters, candle lit tables and comfy cushions, you’ll feel right at home day or night.

With traditional English dishes ranging from the classic Sunday roast with all the trimmings and a fully stacked beef burger (and a 100% vegan burger too!) , with hand cut fries to fish and chips with a Mediterranean twist, a cracking Asian duck salad with mooli, shredded bok choi, carrots, red chilli and mixed peppers.
9. Calling All Gin Lovers
Now if you’re a gin lover, then you’ve lucked out here. With over 25 distinctive different gins to try and a mixture of tonics, the combinations are almost limitless. There’s even a cheeky Elderflower Collins cocktail on the menu mixed with Beafeater gin and a Raspberry Gin Fizz with Bulldog Gin & Grapefruit!

When it comes to wine, The Bull’s bar is certain stocked up with a real variety of red’s, white’s, sparkling, Champagne and there’s no fear of ever running out. Whatever your tipple of choice is, from rich and full of flavour reds to Aromatic fruity whites, the bar tenders on hand are ready to fill up your glass and always leave you wanting more.
11. Royal Regatta Power
Each summer when Henley Royal Regatta is in full swing and crowds flock from all the country (and some from across the seas), The Bull transforms from the trendy eatery it is during the day, to a funky nightclub, with the conservatory double doors open into the extended courtyard and inside, a dance floor appears with a DJ and sometimes a saxophonist for that extra bit of funk and soul.
12. Party, Party, Party
Did someone mention an Après Ski Party? The Bull is known for throwing together wacky and creative events, from the popular annual Après Ski party and Funk Jazz nights to wine tasting dates and cocktail master classes! Oh and we also host parties for you! Whatever the size of your party, we can cater from 20 to 200 people.
